Materials to Sew Corrective Zipper Pouch
Finished size: viii" wide x 5 1/2" height ten 2" deep
- 1 Fat quarter cotton wool print A for outside ( Dorothy'southward Journey collection by Jill Howarth for Riley Blake Designs.)
- 1 Fat quarter cotton wool print B for exterior ( my Someday Chicken Navy print for Riley Blake Designs.)
- ane Fatty quarter cotton print C for lining (Dorothy's Journeying drove by Jill Howarth for Riley Blake Designs.)
- 1 Fat quarter medium weight fusible batting
- 1 attachment – 8"
- 1 cotton ribbon – i/2" x ii"
- leather tag and embroidery thread (optional)

Cutting
- from print A, cut: two (2) 10 3/four" x iv 1/2"
- from impress B, cut: one (1) 10 3/four" x v 1/ii"
- from impress C, cut: 1 Pouch Body outer line
- from fusible batting, cut: one Pouch Torso inner line
Note: All seam allowances are one/4″ unless otherwise noted.
Prepare the strips
one. Sew impress A – print B – print A, matching long edges, with right side. Press seams to the dark print side. Trace the Pouch Trunk outer line and trim the excess.
two. Fuse the batting on the incorrect side of the pouch exterior. Topstitch one/8" along the sew lines. (optional)
3. Place the attachment on superlative of the outside, correct sides together. You will be able to run across the wrong side of the zipper. Fold zipper ends as shown. Pivot in place and sew using a attachment human foot.
4. With the wrong side upward, lay pouch lining on the zipper, matching the top edges. Sew through the layer, using the previous stitching line equally a guide.
5. Repeat the step 3-4 to attach the other side of the zipper to the exterior and the lining.
6. Lay flat the pouch every bit shown. Fold the cotton ribbon in one-half and slide in one side of the pouch exterior, well-nigh 3/four" down from the zipper. Stitch the sides, matching raw edges. Use three/8" – 1/two" seam when sewing the lining sides for the tight fit.
